Headaches can come from a number of sources, each with a unique range of treatment options. Headaches that originate from the neck (called Cervicogenic Headache), or from the neck muscles (called Tension Headache) can often be alleviated with Physiotherapy treatment. Techniques to improve neck mobility, muscular strength and flexibility and to improve posture can help dramatically in improving headaches of these origins.
There are other types of headaches that are not of musculoskeletal origin and as such will not respond to Physiotherapy treatment, such as Migraines and other vascular headaches. Our Physiotherapists are trained to recognise these and can refer to other providers, such as your GP, for assistance as needed.
Our specialised practitioners can help you out.
