Sometimes we just ask our tissues to do too much. Commonly this causes tendon tissue to become injured and inflamed, leading to pain, swelling and eventually weakness of the tendon. We commonly treat tennis elbow, patella and achilles tendon pain, rotator cuff/shoulder pain and gluteal pain of this nature. Typically these problems take time to come on, often with repetitive tasks such as running, sawing, hammering, lifting and chopping.
Early intervention can help to stop this becoming such a long term problem, but don’t despair, even long term problems can be treated effectively. Be prepared to put in a bit of effort though, most of these conditions require regular exercise to be completed to see a full recovery.
